How to Go Viral on Tiktok
Hello there!
Want to go viral on Tiktok or any other short form content?
This is my TikTok account with 20.8K+ followers AND my Instagram shorts account with 10.1K followers!
If you want to go viral you will need to create professionally created videos and optimize your captions and hashtags that stand out from the rest! Here is what I did to go viral!
- Cut Audio Dialogue
When you start video editing, it is important to make your content short and especially engaging. So for example, in a video where someone is talking, cut gaps that are between the audio like this:
There is a higher chance of the viewer watching it to scroll to the next video on short form content. If there is nothing happening or a pause, this runs the risk of a potential viewer going onto the next video.
2. Shortening Your Videos With Important Points
If there is a very interesting part in the video or an engaging important message you want to get across, pick that little scene of the video, this of course will intrigue the viewer to keep on watching and will help keep the watch time high on the apps you put your videos on.
3. Make engaging and eye-catching content
As you can see in my videos, I add in pictures that fit with the video, I add in transitions to keep the viewer engaged, and of course the captions/subtitles along with transitions to go along with the words. Also I usually add 1-4 words for each caption/subtitles and this is important, having a few words on the screen will make the viewer intrigued on what the person will say next, so having even one word for each subtitle or a few words for each subtitle will help keep viewers engaged and keep your watch time high.
4. Post consistently, posting consistently is one of the amazing keys to going viral, on whatever platform you are on it will raise your changes much more higher to get in front of audiences since the platform knows you are active.
Now there are the websites and certain little techniques used to boost the algorithm, I will be going over them right here:
- TikTok
So for example, to go TikTok viral, what you would want to do is have a description about what your video will be about, as you can see here I added the credits to the person featured in this video because people were wondering who it is in the comment section. Hashtags aren’t that important but can help organize your content to viewers you want. I would also recommend tagging in the person who is featured in your video to organize who you want it to go to and also since it has a potential of them seeing it or even commenting on it! Which will of course increase engagement and views. The cover isn’t too important here since it will only show up on your profile but I still recommend transitioning it to something eye-capturing if they do come to your profile.
- Youtube
It runs a bit differently but very similar to tiktok, even the formation of the uploading page looks very, very similar to tiktok! Although it works a bit differently, first of all the cover of your video especially matters and also the caption of your title really matters too! You need to make an engaging title that will make people click and maybe even add a little bit of clickbait that isn’t too far off of what the video is about. I also recommend adding in at least one hashtag on youtube but your title is very limited so you might not even have the chance of adding something extra to it. Overall, just have an engaging cover and title since that’s what people will be seeing in their Youtube Shorts recommendations.
Now for the last one your hashtags matter so you can organise it to the audience you specifically want and also your cover is very important. Since instagram isn’t too focused on titles you won’t be needing that, but as you can see, I still add the credits who are in the video in the description with an @”insert name here” and I even tag the person in the ”Tag People” section. Just focus on the cover and the hashtags for this one, make the cover engaging with somewhere in the video that can capture someone’s eye and add in hashtags that are relevant to your audience and niche.
